Sewing!

I recently signed up for a sewing class, "Basic Sewing Techniques."   The first class was learning how to use the sewing machine & just playing around, getting comfortable with the machine.

 

Week 2, we made pillow cases.  Simple, I know.... but believe me, I had NO experience with a sewing machine before this!  So here's the pillow case I made for Taylor, using fire truck material that he picked out. 

Week 3, we made throw pillows.  The teacher showed us how to make & add ruffles, which were so cute.  I decided not to add them to this pillow since the fabric I picked out was so busy- the ruffles just didn't work.  I may have to try them another time though! 

 

 

Next week, a double sided apron!
